Well, here we are. The new website is completed and ready for everyone to see. I've put so many hours into this thing, and thousands of lines of code to bring this place to life.
As you may have guessed, many things have changed since the last website was released. First off, PHP has had an upgrade. From the older 5.3, we're now working with the 5.5 version.
The new website is powered by Laravel [laravel.com]. All in all, I'm truly happy with the way the website has turned out. Here are a few features to this site that stand out, and that have been added from previous iterations of the site:
- True MVC website powered by Laravel
- Responsive web design. (Meaning, this site responds to screen size to determine desktop vs mobile versions, all in one design)
- Completely data driven
- Comments!! Please, feel free to leave comments on my blog posts. I'd love to hear from you all.
That's all I can think of at this current moment. I'm finally able to show off the new site, and I hope you all enjoy using it as I have enjoyed creating it. So many new features will be added over time, and others improved on. Until then, welcome everyone, to the new website!
